UGC NET stands for the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test. It’s a test for those aiming to be eligible for JRF and Assistant Professor roles in higher education institutes in the country.

What is the UGC NET Exam?

The UGC NET Exam, conducted by NTA, screens eligible candidates for Assistant Professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship positions in Indian universities and colleges. After qualifying, candidates can apply for these posts in the institutions of their choice, subject to the selection criteria of the respective university/institute.

  • 03rd January 2024: UGC NET Provisional Answer Key Released! The NTA has published the Provisional Answer Key and Question Paper with Recorded Responses for UGC – NET December 2023. Challenges to the Answer Keys can be submitted from 03rd January 2024 (6:00 p.m.) to 05th January 2024 (11:50 p.m.).
  • 4th December 2023: UGC NET Admit Card Out! The UGC has issued the admit card for the Exam Scheduled on 6th,7th,8th December for (UGC-NET DEC 2023). Aspiring candidates can download their UGC NET 2023 Admit Card from the official website.
  • 1st December 2023: UGC NET Exam City Intimation Link Active. The UGC has activated the exam city intimation link for the UGC NET December 2023 cycle. Candidates can check the exam date and city details.
  • 17th November 2023: UGC NET Exam Dates Out. The UGC NET Exam Schedule for the December 2023 cycle has been released. The exam for over 80 subjects will be conducted from 6th December 2023 to 14th December 2023.
  • 27th October 2023: UGC NET 2023 Application Date Extended! UGC NET Application Date has been extended till 31st October 2023. Candidates can Register for UGC NET December 2023 cycle.

UGC NET Application Process 2023:

  1. Visit the official website of UGC.
  2. Fill in the UGC NET Application Form with personal and educational details carefully.
  3. Upload the scanned photograph.
  4. Pay the required fee.
  5. Receive the application number and take a printout of the Application form for future reference.
